Writes a 2nd Blog To Convince

To Continue Writing
Spent way too much time fussing with the formatting of that opening. Plus discovered an annoying (bug|feature|nuisance) in Habari — whenever I clicked the “Save now” button in the editor, I was saving multiple drafts (and even a published version or two ??) of my post. Weird. Need to check that out, but no more distractions for now.
I have to admit, I can never see the word “Protagonist” without thinking of the Deliverator himself, Hiro Protagonist. I think perhaps it is time to re-read Snow Crash.
So, I mentioned “New House” in the last post. That’s been fun, and a pain - all at once. I never was one for staying on task or organized, so there are about a half a dozen projects I should be working on right now.
- Finish tearing out cruddy old shower upstairs (~50% done)
- Install plumbing from upstairs bathroom to new laundry closet
- Finish laundry closet (~50% done)
- Finish installing new weatherstripping on doors (~25% done)
- Finish plastic wrapping windows for the winter (… 6% done. Yep, I whipped out the calculator for that one)
- Finish sealing up the basement door
As you can see, way too many start with “Finish.” Got a bad habit of half-doing things. Guess this is home ownership.read more
